Experienced and Driven Person Wanted for the Office of the Digitalization of the Justice System

We are now looking for an experienced and driven person to join us at the Office of the Digitalization of the Justice System, whose task is to coordinate and support collaborative work among authorities within the justice system.

About the Digitalization of the Justice System

The digitalization of the justice system is a collaboration between eleven authorities focusing on the digitalization of the justice system, primarily concerning information supply within the criminal process. The joint effort aims for a digitized justice system for efficiency, legal certainty, and increased societal benefit. This collaboration has existed for many years and contributes significantly to the benefits for the justice system and society. It is well established, while constantly needing further development and adaptation to the changes occurring within the authorities and the surrounding world.

About the Office of the Digitalization of the Justice System

The Office of the Digitalization of the Justice System is located at the Crime Prevention Council, which is one of the eleven authorities involved in the digitalization of the justice system.

The Office is responsible for supporting and coordinating the joint work among the authorities, including:

  • planning and monitoring the joint work
  • leading certain projects and assignments within the joint plan
  • managing and developing the common architecture used for information exchanges between the authorities
  • business development of the digitalization of the justice system to enhance collaboration.

The Office is responsible for leading several fixed groups with a total of approximately 100 participants from the authorities at strategic, tactical, and operational levels – from the Council's agency heads and expert groups to working groups for specific development initiatives.

The work is based on collaboration and consensus, which places high demands on our ability to lead groups, create dialogue, and drive complex issues forward.

We currently have four people in the Office who work closely together.

The Office currently consists of:

  • Office Manager/Project Leader/Coordinator
  • Business Developer
  • Business Architect
  • IT Architect

About the Job

We now want to strengthen our office with an additional person, and as part of the Office, you will work together with us to:

  • drive complex issues that require consensus among several authorities
  • lead and facilitate joint working groups
  • participate in and sometimes lead larger projects/assignments involving multiple justice system authorities
  • provide support in governance, planning, and monitoring of the work we do together within the collaboration.

The work involves many contacts, and you will gain a unique overall view of the joint processes and information flows of the justice system.

Your Education and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • at least 5 years of experience working with digitalization and business development within public administration
  • experience leading projects and assignments in larger organizations
  • experience leading workshops or using other methods to achieve well-founded results even in the face of conflicting goals. You are accustomed to and enjoy working in teams with diverse skills and personalities
  • very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form
  • the ability and experience to present both oral and written information pedagogically in meetings or other forums, both internally and externally.

You should have an academic education in a relevant field, or equivalent qualifications as assessed by the employer.

It is an advantage if you have experience with complex inter-agency collaboration within public administration, particularly within the justice system. It is also advantageous if you have a background in IT and knowledge of IT architecture.

Your Personal Qualities

As a person, you have excellent collaboration skills and find it easy to build trust. The work involves complex inter-agency collaboration that requires an understanding of different perspectives, missions, and roles, which means you need to have a very good ability to create consensus. You are results-oriented, proactive, curious, constructive, and driven, with excellent communication skills. To thrive with us, you need to have the patience required to support the authorities in moving forward and be both flexible and unpretentious in your approach to ensuring that we achieve our goals together.

You enjoy working in a changing environment and in a small dynamic team while having many contacts in your daily work. You are structured and have a good ability to prioritize.

Great importance is placed on your personal qualities and abilities.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment. The Crime Prevention Council applies a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.

The position is security classified, which means that Swedish citizenship is required for employment. A security screening with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted before we make a decision on employment.
